Sweden Gaming by Magical525 Sweden Gaming by Magical525
I wanted the Sweden pattern to include his geeky side (I love Geeks so yeah.. heheh) and this one fit the bill :) I must admit that part of me wanted to call this "Creepy Sweden" but I decided not to in the end as I'm pretty sure I have that same expression when I'm killing off monsters in Skylanders.

It's approx 2 3/8 inch wide by 2 3/4 inch high on 18 count Aida or 6 x 7 cm on 7 squares per cm Aida.

The pattern can be found here: Sweden Gaming pattern

Artwork from this comic by :iconhumon: all I did was convert it to an embroidery pattern and make that.

Heheheh... even the evil gleam in his eyes you managed to catch! :-)

You keep surprising me with the amount of detail you are able to get into the embroideries!

I had to run after that evil gleam to catch it but I did get it in the end ;)

Hopefully I'll be able to continue to surprise you :)

Yay! Another one!

I love that strip. Sweden thinks he's the normal one, but he's such a kook.

lol yeah he does doesn't he ;)

Good news is: I'm 3/4 of the way in doing the black outlines of the next one :)

You outline first? I always work from the center outward, as evenly as I can manage. Less fabric distortion that way--although I guess for small designs like these guys, it wouldn't matter as much.

On these I start the black outlines in the middle and work along them as logically as I can. Since the whole work area fits within the embroidery ring there is no chance of distortion, or at least not enough that can't be removed by way of making the work damp and pressing till it's dry :)

I must admit that normally I tend to do one colour at a time working the first one from the centre and the rest as it works out best while keeping the embroidery ring where it is so I only do the bits outside the ring after I've moved it. I've never had any issues with the work being distorted from the way I do things though - not even on the larger works I've done.

If it works, it works. I was just going by what the instructions usually say.
